An Opportunity to Grow
This is Maung Chit, one of the many senior gardeners at Akron Cooperative Farms. As a member of the Karen Community in Akron, this cooperative farm gives Maung Chit an outlet to continue practicing his agricultural traditions. He will typically stop by the farm twice a day, not only tending to his own garden, but helping with the general upkeep required to maintain and beautify the land. Maung Chit is a valued member of the Akron Cooperative Farm family, and values his time at the farm.
